About the event
Barre is a hybrid workout combining elements of ballet-inspired moves with pilates, yoga and strength training. But don't let that description fool you! Barre focuses on high reps, small range of motion and light or no weights. Several times throughout class, cardio bursts will be added in to get your heart rate up and the sweat pouring! With consistent practice, this full body workout will sculpt, tone and lengthen the appearance of your muscles. Class is designed to challenge all fitness levels, genders and ages!
The set up:
Light weights (2-3 lbs)
I PROMISE that you will feel the burn!
If you do not have light weights, don't worry! Here are a few substitutes: filled water bottles, bottles of wine, canned foods.
The entire class is built around body weight and can be done without any added weight at all.
