Mommy of 2, Wife, Nurse Practitioner, Bootcamper


I would like to introduce Bootcamper, Liz Houser, CRNP! Liz is a mommy of two toddlers, a wife and a full time certified registered nurse practitioner. She knows what it's like to be busy and have a tight schedule! She also knows that finding time for her health is important for her family as well.

"Working out has given me an extra boost of energy that has positively impacted my ability to keep up with my children at the end of the day. I love the accountability and motivation that comes with a group class. I chose Cardio Kickboxing and Bootcamp because Haley is constantly encouraging you and pushing you by calling out your name or coming right up next to you and challenging you to push a little further. She gives positive reinforcement for hard work, notices when you don't show up, and makes a point to really know the group of ladies she's instructing! It's been all the difference in my fitness journey both physically and mentally!"

Liz works hard in class. You can tell she is making every second of that hour long class worth it! She has been taking classes with me since May of 2016 and has seen amazing results! Here is what Liz has shared with others about her fitness journey!

"I started bootcamp 1 month ago when a friend told me about a free 2 week promotion! I went 9 times and found myself hooked. I was looking for something to give me a boost of energy and to help get me back in shape. Since I started, I weighed myself 3 times, noticing I was gaining weight, first 2 lbs, then 4, and now it's a total of 6 lbs I've gained since I've started........I did say gained!!!! For a second I was discouraged....really!? I've been working my butt off! Then I took my measurements........I've LOST 4.5 inches! Why do I share this? Because so many people base their fitness goals on that stupid number! I am throwing it away! Not only have I lost inches, I have found that boost of energy I was looking for, I'm building new relationships with wonderful people, I'm stronger than I was yesterday, and it's definitely helped me "get my mind right!" I'm happier and am a better mommy/wife at the end of the day by allowing myself one little hour to focus on me! My point.... pitch your scales and don't focus on that number!"

Group exercise is about so much more than fitness. At least in the eyes of the women and men who take my classes. They come for the workout, yes. But they also come for the stress relief, their daily dose of motivation, their health, to build relationships, to be social outside of work and so many other things!
