Finding the right shoes SAVED MY FEET and therefore most likely the rest of my body. I put my feet through a lot day in and day out. Years ago I developed some pain in the arches of my feet. I ignored it thinking it was just typical overuse pain that I could “suck up” and “get over”. I was very wrong. I developed a pretty bad case of plantar fasciitis and I finally knew I needed to do something about it. I went to a local shoe store, Gingerbread Man Running Company, who not only evaluated my foot, but also the way I walked and moved. I told them I taught high impact fitness classes twice a day and had pain. After their gait analysis (totally free), they recommended the Mizuno Wave Inspire.
For a new college grad the price tag was high for a pair of shoes. But, I took the plunge and it was the best money I ever spent! I felt like I was walking on air. I did allow myself time to rest before getting back to my workouts, but when I did, I always paid attention to the mileage on my shoes and purchased a new pair when I knew they were wearing down.
Since starting to use these shoes, I have tried other brands to see how it would make my foot feel, and nothing has compared to the durability, support and feel of my Mizuno's! These Mizuno shoes were perfect for MY foot, but everyone is different. I do recommend Mizuno shoes for anyone doing any type of cross training type of workout, however I would first tell you to go to Gingerbread Man Running to get your foot evaluated. You can actually check out a lot of their expert shoe reviews online to learn more about what shoe might be right for you!
My Wave Inspire's have been such a saving grace for my feet. I love how these shoes provide the support I need during my workouts and also how stylish they are. They come in super fun colors and designs! Check out Gingerbread Man Running Company to find a pair!
